Admission to Undergraduate Programs

Qualification of Applicants

Foreign citizens under 25 and in good health, with: 

(1) Certificate of Graduation from senior high school; 

(2) Certificate of Chinese Proficiency Test:HSK Level 3 (or above)or HSK(new) Level 4 (or above).

The qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS). The scholarship applications should be directed to the governmental departments of overseas study affairs, the related organizations, or Chinese embassies, in their home countries. The application time is from early January to early April each year.


Application Materials

(1) The completed Application Form for International Students to Study in Shanghai Second Polytechnic University 

(2) Original or notarized photocopies of senior high school certificate and schooling records 

(3) Original and notarized photocopy of Certificate of HSK

(4) Certificate of expected graduation issued by senior high school

(5) Four copies of applicant's recent photo (cap-free, 2-inch size) 

(6) Completed Letter of Recommendation from senior high school/institution

(7) Original and notarized photocopy of passport (pages with photo; visa or residence permit)

(8) For applicants who are studying in a university, additional materials are required, such as schooling records, on-going study certificate and recommendation from the university 

(9) For applicants under 18, a notarization of guardian in China is required. The guardian of the student has to be living in Shanghai at present. No matter the guardian’s nationality is China or not, he or she must have a source of income.

Application Procedure

(1) Download the Application Form for International Students to Study in Shanghai Second Polytechnic University;

(2) Prepare the application materials listed above;

(3) Submit the application materials and pay the application fee to International Student Affairs Office, Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, by post mail or in person. (Post address is in Contact Information)
