Admission to Chinese Language Programs

Qualification of Applicants

Any foreigner, overseas Chinese, or compatriot from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan may apply directly to the International Student Affairs Office of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University. The applicants need to have a formal education background at the high school level or above, a good moral character, be aged above 18 and in good health.

Application Materials

(1) The completed Application Form for International Students to Study inShanghai Second Polytechnic University

(2) Latest academic diploma (or enrollment certificate) and academic record (photocopy)

(3) Four copies of applicant's recent photo (cap-free, 2-inch size)

(4) Original and notarized photocopy of the passport page with photo. The applicants who have already been in China should also provide the original and notarized photocopy of valid Visa or Residence Permit.

(5) The applicants who are studying at another university in China must submit a Transfer Certificate issued by the host university.

(6) For applicants under 18, a notarization of guardian in China is required. The guardian of the student has to be living in Shanghai at present. No matter the guardian’s nationality is China or not, he or she must have a source of income.

(1) Download the Application Form for International Students to Study inShanghai Second Polytechnic University;

(2) Prepare the application materials listed above;

(3) Submit the application materials and pay the application fee to International Student Affairs Office, Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, by post mail or in person. (Post address is in Contact Information)
